I have recently purchased an Innr SP242 Zigbee smart plug and added to HA. Since starting with HA some months ago, the majority of my sensors had been through a Z-wave gateway but recently I also added a ZBT-1 dongle and added a couple of devices to it. ZHA seems easy to use (more so than Z2MQTT) but wouldn’t allow me to do an OTA firmware on the Innr Plug when I added it. I then switched to Z2M, added the plug and flashed the latest firmware to 1.7.23.
The problem I have is that the power and other measurements seem to be off by a factor of 100. I have tested this by plugging the smart plug into a mains power meter.
I emailed Innr support and this is what they said…
700W was displayed, while the actual wattage was 7W, that is quite a big difference! I have seen this issue happen before, and our firmware developer wrote the following about this issue:
• The SP 24x plugs give correct values for Voltage (V), Current (mA), Power (W), and Consumption (kWh).
- If a system or app shows a value with an incorrect factor, then that is the fault of that system (100% sure); the system (or app) is not using the correct multiplier and divider attributes of the Electrical Measurement cluster 0x0B04 (for W, mA, and W) and/or is not using the SummationFormatting attribute of the Metering cluster 0x0702 (for kWh).
So, for the reported data being off by a factor 100 , there should be a solution in the system. We recommend checking in the forums, how other people have resolved similar issues.
I am a novice where Z2M is concerned and not sure how to fix it.
I have search the forums and only found posts related to this plug which were fixed in FW:1.7.23
Can anyone help or point me to a guide to help fix the issue?
Much appreciated.
