Input on a designing a new system and wiring for new construction

I am in the fortunate position to be building a new home. The home is rural and so I want to be able to fully manage the system myself.

I will be using Home Assistant, as well as Ubiquity, to act as the brains and hub of the smarthome.

I’m looking for a advice to make sure I plan ahead appropriately to get all the proper wiring in place, and also to get a sanity check on the system I’ve designed – I think I have enough questions that it is fair to pay for this service, and wondering if anybody has used a provider they would recommend to finalize their design.

Does anybody have a trusted consultant they’ve worked with?

For more info, here are some supporting docs:

  1. My working doc for the design
  2. The list of smarthome devices I am planning for

The main questions I have at this point are:

  1. What am I not planning for that I should be (i.e. should I be putting PoE to certain places that I’m not?
  2. What am I planning for that I should NOT be (i.e. is there anything that isn’t worth it)
  3. Am making final decisions on a few most likely products for blinds and light switches, and I’m not sure what maker to go with (Inovelli, lutron)
  4. Am making final decisions on light bulbs and placements, and wondering if it is worth to go with more customizable, or tried and true
  5. I’m not clear if I need to make a decision related to matter, zigbee, zwave, etc., and if so, what hub I need to plan for
  6. Any other input I’m not thinking about that will be easy to plan for now, but would be expensive for later.

Thanks so much for reading!
