Hi guys,
I have a massiv DNS problem with my existing - (current version of HA) installed as image (like haos_rpi4-64-18.2.img.xz) on a raspberry 4. I “changed” the internet provider or the way of getting access. First via fixed DSL - no issues, everthing was fine. Then I changed to FWA also “fixed line” and there the problems (might) started with not reaching different servers…
What works is: updates, installations of addons, etc..
What doesn’t work: SFTP, cloudflare, different cloud connetions, MQTT, etc…
SFTP: when I use the IP, instead of servername, everything is fine!
SSH: Test a ping or nslookup → fine.
Also → dig “1.1.1.1” _checkdns.home-assistant.io +noall +comments +answer A
looks ok.
Also have done/tested: echo nameserver 8.8.8.8 > /etc/resolv.conf
HA->System->Network has a static IP4 + DNS like 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8
IP6 is deactivated, BUT it gets an IP6 (btw. how to change this?)
Another “side effect”, seems that when I try to install a new HA image on raspb. → doesn’t work because of “slow or broken” internet connection.
And yes, I tried a lot of not “standard” settings at the router, etc…! Everything else in the network, IS working, TV, different cloud / IoT hardware, etc…
Thanks and best regards for inputs and ideas..
Alex
