I am a complete novice and I am having great problems getting started. My initial aim is the coordinate solar panels, a GivEnergy battery and octopus charging but I can’t seem to get past configuring givtcp and downloading solcast.
I have been trying to use Gemini for hints but it keeps bringing back old instructions. Is there anywhere where I can access a full set of 2026 instructions?

I’ve no experience with the integration you’re trying to setup, but I’ve plenty experience working with AI. With the exception of someone else chiming in with lived experience on the integration, as far as the AI is concerned, make sure you post-pend every directive you give the AI with a prompt to “Check the home assistant official documentation and verify”. That’ll force the AI to look at and use the latest instructions and code, providing you a better response.
