Installation says it's good but doesn't show store. I'm the owner

I’m pretty frustrated with my new Home Assistant Green. I think there may be a glitch in the installation. I’m the Owner yet I can’t see the store. I of course want to install Node RED dashboard and can’t (yes, I put in a PW). I also tried to reload the software by holding the button in until the yellow light came on. Also no joy
I’ve tried reinstallation and also tried to load the OS through Balina Etcher. No joy I just go back to the same opening dashboard without the shop. The USB isn’t being read first like I thought it would be.

I have installed Node RED and it tries to run, hesitates for about ten seconds then goes back to not running.

Suggestions?

What is the store/shop? Node Red is available under >Settings >Apps (formerly add-ons)

Clicking Install App bottom right will get you to the App Store.

Opening NodeRED from >Settings >Apps make sure you select watchdog and show in sidebar. The icon will show in the sidebar for NodeRED

Once you have NodeRED open then you can create a NodeRED dashboard using the dashboard nodes.

A NodeRED dashboard is different to a HA Lovelace Dashboard. Accessible in a different way and not as pretty as a HA Lovelace Dashboard.

I would recommend NodeRED for Automation Flows and HA Lovelace Dashboards for your GUI.

NOTE: The yellow icon in the below picture is the NodeRED sidebar icon.

Can you have a look at the installation method? Settings | About. Another person just said they got a brand new HA Green with Container Home Assistant installed, which of course won’t install apps.

Also make certain you are set as an administrator on the account you are accessing with.
Sounds like you are, but check.
