Hi, So help needed here. I have installed Home Assistant Core 2026.8.1 on the drive and it boots, says System is ready! but I cannot connect. Doesn’t matter what port I try, nothing works. 80.8123 it just wont connect.
I use the Observer port and it displays
Supervisor Connected
Support: Supported
Health: Healthy
Suggestions would be appreciated…
http://192.168.0.104 or http://192.168.0.104:80 do either of these work?
Hi Michael, if you connect a display to that system you should get what @fleskefjes is showing but with the IP settings for your network.
Use the IPv4 address, make sure you use http://… (not httpS://) and normally you should not have to use a port since with the latest release, new installations listen on port 80.
You could also try with http://homeassistant.local (also without a port, not as in that screenhot)
Yes, I have exactly that. It’s IP address is 192.168.1.45.
and Port 80 doesn’t work, nor 8123
If I telnet to port 80. connection refused.
Maybe it is wrong ip. Try to ping it.
Try to log into router and assing static ip for that comp.
try ha core rebuild
Can you reach the observer port?
First of all You don’t set a static IP for a device in your Router
You can set Reserved IP for a Device in the Routers/ DHCP-Server
Static IP is set on a Device, And involves that you also have to set Routes etc on that Device
Some People seems to Throw Around Static vs Reserved, like it was the Same, It’s Not ! … Far from Infact
So please use the right term in future , im tired seeing people talking about Bananas when they refers to Oranges
Hi All, I have resolved my issue. Thank you for all you helpful suggestions. I flashed another HDD and it booted fine. I guess the 1st drive had a fault or something got corrupted on the write process.
You are right that static and reserved ip is not the same. But im not it pro and that kind of mistakes are common for people that do not work in it.
Its not a big deal at least not for me. I think that is understandable what i wanted to say.
I cant promis that in the future i will not mix and match terms.
