I receive the yellow yesterday and put the HAOS-9.0 for Yellow onto the USB stick. Plugged the CM$ in and booted the device, but the yellow LED never comes on (as described here: Home Assistant Yellow Guide).
What am I missing? I also tried to to change between USB and UART jumper, with no difference.
I don’t have my Yellow yet, but have been running HAOS on a CM4 with a different carrier board. I’d try burning the OS directly to the eMMC with rpiboot and not messing with the USB stick. They have instructions on how to do that here:
Yes, I also have another CM4 that I used as a router and flashed that through the USB-C. I will try it with this instead of the USB-stick. It’s strange that they do not cover that as an option in the setup/installation. Also, there is another jumper for USB-C Rcvry - I guess I will have to flip that also if I want to flash the eMCC directly.
Thanks for your feedback.
I receive my tracking info two days before it was delivered (on Monday).
The ONLY way I could manage to install HAOS onto the yellow was with the jumper connected from UART to USB and the other jumper for USB-C rcvry enabled. Then I ran rpiboot and was able to format the eMCC and install the OS with rpi-imager.
Very strange that this is not covered in the installation instructions, as the USB installation did not work for me.
I wasnt able to boot but then i looked closely at the jumpers. The jumpers on usb c recovery were engaged. I removed the jumper from recovery pins and voila it booted from usb
