Installing HomeAssistant on Synology DS failed

i tried to install homeassistant on my synology ds215 with dsm 6.0.

i used installing homeassistant from the dsm paket center. while installing homeassistant, phyton3 (vers. 3.4.1-1) and git (version 2.7.4.-8) are installed too. python3 (vers. 3.5.1-0104) and python modules are instelled from the paket center earlier.

before logging in on the web gui homeassistant shows issues like “hass.local.api ist deprecated. use hass.config.api” and “componets.recorder: found unfinished sessions”. how to fix that?

logging in on web gui is impossible after setting the password in the configuration.yaml found in “@appstore/homeassistant/var/”.

i tried also to install homeassistant using command line. there’s no way to install, the permission and owner of the folders can’t be set. with “dir” i can see the folder, setting the permission failured, command line prompted, there is no folder like that.

I am having the same issues with a ds1511+ with DSM 6.0.

Try removing the password in configuration.yaml for now.

My GUI is stuck in the “Hi there” and doesn’t seem to discover or show anything.

removing the password doesn’t solve the problem. after removing the password it’s the thame as you.
anybody some helpfull answers to solve the problem described in the log?

The synology package is very outdated. We do not maintain it nor do we still have the documentation about what does and doesn’t work. Consider using the Docker image if you can or else install it manually.

installing home-assistant manually failed too (see first topic). i’ll try docker

it seems docker couldn’t be installed on synology ds215

Samething for me. I installed homeassistant manually but I can’t access to the front end…
