Lately I am having difficulty controlling my insteon devices through a 2422 hub. If I reboot HA everything works again. This was one of the 1st integrations I installed, and it worked flawlessly for a year. is anyone else having this issue and have you been able to fix it?
Did you figure this one out? I had similar intermittent connectivity issues between HA and the Insteon Hub. Restarting both fixes the issue for some time but a day or so later it loses connectivity again.
Solution for me was to block internet access to the Insteon Hub. A DENY firewall rule at the router. Read that DENY is better than DROP, though my router only offers ACCEPT/DENY options anyways.
Hope this helps others with similar issues.
Reporting from the future - same issues here. It used to work fairly well, but now automations commonly fail, and attempts to control devices via the HomeKit integration are especially fragile.
I can still toggle things on and off from Lovelace consistently, but dimming is often broken.
I don’t see anything in the Supervisor logs. Am I missing anywhere else? And has anyone had luck figuring out reliability issues?
I can toggle things and dim them from the dashboard consistently, but when I manually press a light switch or manually dim a light at the switch or keypad, the dashboard doesn’t always update and becomes out of sync with the physical switches. This has been ongoing since I installed HA sometime last year.
