Insteon PLM Integration?

How do i configure, i am not sure what it means by serial, but i use an ethernet cable

example doc:

# PLM configuration variables
insteon:
  port: SERIAL_PORT

my config.yaml

insteon:
port: 192.168.1.86 (ip address of my plm)

i have two switches in my isy device, one for a dimmer (kitchen), and one for my porch, both arent showing up in home-assistant after reboot
logs… how to fix?

Could not connect to Insteon modem.

got it working using this method

# Example configuration.yaml entry
isy994:
  host: ISY_ADDRESS
  username: ISY_USERNAME
  password: ISY_PASSWORD

@david1, the implication is you are using an ISY as opposed to having your PLM directly connected to HA, correct? The ISY is a specific type of Insteon connection and is its own integration for that reason.

Either way, both the ISY and Insteon (Hub and PLM directly connected to your HA system) can be configured useing Integrations now and therefore do not require YAML setup.

it was asking for a path i didnt know how to get, the config was easier to use
