Integrate ConnectSense with HA

I am looking for ways to integrate ConnectSense in-wall Outlet to HA. Does anyone know how? Please help me

Bump on this - has anyone figured out a way to use ConnectSense outlets to HA?

I don’t know if this is true for all of the ConnectSense outlets, but the ones I looked at indicate support for Apple HomeKit. Presumably that would enable fully local control via HA using HomeKit / HomeKit Controller.

I’ve been able to connect just about every WiFi-enabled HomeKit device to HA this way.

Unfortunately, if you use the HomeKit Controller integration for this device you only get the On/Off capability for each outlet – No power monitoring. If it is integrated directly into HomeKit (without HA), you get all of the capabilities.

My other native HomeKit outlets — several different brands — only showed power consumption in their own vendor apps before HA. Some of them report power consumption in HA, when I use HomeKit Controller.

I have added my own code to aiohomekit and to homekit_controller in HA core. It has been adopted into the dev branch of HA core, and should make it to the production branch in the next release or two. I added support for power monitoring sensors for the ConnectSense Smart Outlet2 and In-Wall Outlets.

Thank you @ecoen for your update to enable this, it has helped me a lot!

For anyone else having an issue connecting the outlet, here are the steps:

  1. Add the outlet via HomeKit first, so it gets connected to WiFi
  2. Remove the accessory from HomeKit. This will keep it connected to WiFi while putting it in pairing mode.
  3. Add to Home Assistant Via the “HomeKit Controller” integration.

Was power monitoring added for the Connectsense Smart Outlet 2? When I connect it to ha I only get an Amp sensor and it never updates. There is no power consumption sensor.
