I want to integrate my led strips and have some issues. My 12v led strips are some really old IKEA product and don’t have a wifi controller but I want to use them because I got many of them. I tried to couple one strip with the esp8266 and it worked. But I’m not really satisfied because the esp delivers only 5v so I needed to increase the voltage with a step up boost converter. Can I use other WiFi controllers for the 12v rgbw led strips?
However, in the future I would prefer non diy products because it require so much time to solder these controllers and it is inconvenient. Are there some products available that are compatible to home assistant? In the best case with some effects integrated and not to expensive. I already researched a lot but I’m a really beginner in this area and don’t understand which products are well supported ones.
