This will document my journey to integrate three Midea mini-splits into HA.
It is also a request for guidance so that I don’t go down some rabbit hole.
Background:
I recently purchased three Midea mini splits: two one ton and one two ton.
This is the model number of the 2 ton: MAS24C2EZI
There is a twist… The Wi-Fi is integrated onto either the display or logic pcb - not sure yet. However there is NO USB connector and Wi-Fi works so it really is integrated.
Goal:
Integrate into HA using bi-directional communication with no required access to the Internet.
Step 1: Interface
My first step was a mistake: I ordered and received three SLWF-01pro modules. As far as I have been able to determine there is no way to use them with these particular Midea products.
It has been suggested that the units may be using the “8370” protocol and that it can possibly interface directly with HA’s Midea AC LAN interface.
Your thoughts as I start on this journey??
