I have had a Solakon One with additional memory for a month now. I have integrated the Solakon One integration from Github and have lots of values and sensors. I have read the instructions on Github for integrating solar power, battery discharge, and battery power. However, I think that the instructions may be out of date, as the values are actually already coming through. Perhaps one of you also has a Solakon One and can help me out and give me some tips, as my sensors are in German and the sensor (according to the instructions) sensor.solakon_one_battery_combined_power does not exist at all:
For integration into the energy dashboard, the sensors sensor.solakon_one_batterie_entladeenergie and sensor.solakon_one_batterie_ladeenergie should actually be sufficient, right? Do I need help with this?
Should solar energy work “out of the box”? If I understand correctly, it should be sensor.solakon_one_daily_energy. But here, too, there is a sensor in kWh → sensor.solakon_one_pv_energy → does anyone know the difference between the two sensors?
Of course, the sensors should also be included in the Power Flow Card Plus card. If I understand correctly, I would need to find someone to help me add my existing two panels with a Hoymiles HM800 to the new Solakon One sensor, right?
For Battery in the Power Flow Card Plus card, one sensor should be sufficient, which can be positive or negative. So I don’t need a helper here, isn’t it?
State of Charge would then only be “charging” or “discharging”, or am I interpreting that incorrectly?
Thank you for your help and have a wonderful and healthy weekend.
did you try contacting the Solakon tech support or opening an upstream issue? I am also looking forward to buying a Solakon One, but I would like to see some solid HA-based success stories first
Thank you for your message. No, I haven’t contact Solakon. Here my information about me request after 2 weeks of usage:
“integration in energy dashboard”: Works as written above.
“out of the box”: I choose the sensor according @Einhard , and it works so far, so good.
Power Flow Card Plus total: I generated a helper → total of HM800 and Solakon One.
Power Flow Card Plus Battery: Works so far.
State of charge: Works so far.
I can understand, that you will be waiting. I changed the connection of Solakon One from Wifi to LAN and it works, after some issues with me cable connection.
@Einhard : Why did you invert loading and unloading? I set this to STANDARD and I guess it works.
I had the same issue as you. I thought, I had made an error by install the Keystone Module. My Unifi Switch shows the same issue. I have tested the connection with my laptop → no issue. So, I have reset AGAIN the WLAN connection at the Solakon and now it seems as it works. Please try it again and let me know, if this solved the problem.
@Einhard : I retract my statement. The problems still with LAN and Unifi 16 Ports Lite. I’ve shut down Solakon completely and restarted it. Let’s see if that helps. I have not such trouble with Wifi.
@Ronny1978 Well i solved the problem temporarily with a dump unifi flex switch mini. Only with that switch the LAN connection is completely stable. WLAN was also stable. But i haven’t found a solution to connect the solakon one to my unifi pro hd 24 poe in a stable manner.
The port begins flapping the state immediately. Also disabling the STP setting to the port doesn’t work. I suspect the WLAN connection is still trying to connect to the network.
I will be investigating further.
Does the zero export continue to work when the WAN link is down (or when you block, from your router, the WAN access of the Solakon One)?
Does the zero-export logic rely in any way on your HA setup? Or does the Solakon “talk” directly to the Shelly 3EM via it’s LAN IP?
@Einhard and @Ronny1978 , do you have the latest firmware that allows you to go over the 800VA grid-side limit (just in case you have a dedicated line to the fuse box )?
@Einhard : Thanks for your information. I’m in contact with support of Solakon. 30 minutes ago , the Solakon lost the LAN connection. I set the port to 100MBit and disable STP. I got a message from Home Assistant, when Solakon One lost the connection. I have a stupid Switch from Zyxel and will try also. Do you also use VLAN (IoT) for Solakon?
@_mircea : At the Moment the Solakon One lost the complete LAN conncetion and isn’t still viewable in network. So, of corse the zero-export doesn’t works. In my understanding the Solakon One talks to internal IP of the Shelly 3EM. This is what I register in the App (internal IP of the Shelly3EM).
Also, when Solakon One lost the LAN (not only WAN) connection? When Solakon One has no LAN connection and is offline, it will also not see the Shelly, isn’t it?
In my case the Solakon One isn’t visible in HA / Unifi and also in the App.
When the Solakon One loses LAN, it will not doing zero export. I think it falls back to 200w output so grid and the rest gets to the battery. If thats full, complete output to grid. I’ve heard, that in a new firmware + app version, you can specify what the solakon does if it falls back to no LAN.
Since yesterday i cant change energyplans in the app. Says “firmware update needed”…
