Integrating Shelly products into HW

In the research phase, and would like to ask about Shelly products integration with HA.

Simply if using HA in addition to their dimmers/relays, would it be possible to wire an unused Switch port (Sn) on a relay or dimmer, to be a general input to the overall system.

For example one S input terminal is a local button which turn the attached light on/off, but can the other S input terminal be used as an input to tell HA to do whatever like set an away from home scene.

Or would one of their separate input devices be required for that?

thanks for the info

Not sure if I got your point 100% correct, but my I answer would be it is already there…
Foir example; in my kitchen I have Shelly 1L installed and it is configured in the way that 1st button directly controls light over the dinning table and secondary button (configured as detached switch) sends a signal to HA to control main countertop lights (controlled by anothe Shelly with no possibility to connect switch to it).

Ya that’s what im asking… i suppose i dont know all the correct terms yet…
Ive read the hell out of their site and it doesn’t exactly answer these types of questions… thanks

Going even further, there is Shelly Plus i4 that does not have any relays/outputs, but only 4 inputs that solely allow to control scenes/lights/whatever connected to ecosystem.

Yes ive noticed this, only it seems that they are not usable without a Neutral line, correct?
Im currently limited to Neutraless installations :frowning:

Any ideas for me?

Well, at the moment the only product I’m aware is Shelly 1L… which is discontinued… I have 2 in my drawer with damaged relays, that I’m keeping only for the purpose of working without neutral.
Otherwise you could go the route of some fibaro or aeotec dimmer modules, that can work without neutral… but to be homest I do not recall if these support detatached switch configuration and are Zwave devices, not WiFi…

This doesnt seem to be correct as both Dimmer2 and Dimmer G3 both can work without Neutral. In addition to controlling certain loads, the inputs could be detached from those and used with buttons i believe.

Also there seems to be a few Bluetooth battery button options as well.

Yes there are a few other vendors that have devices that work without Neutral, though unfortunately im in a corner of the world with limited selection. :frowning:
