Integration of Sparky P1-dongle failing

Yesterday I started with Home Assistant. To monitor my energy consumption T tried to integrate my Sparky P1-dongle. Following the instructions I got stuck after selecting the DSMR Smart Meter.
From there the instruction is not correct. There should be a possibility to select connection type network. But I don’t see this option.
Any help?

This morning I saw in HA that the device is in the DCHP network and ip adres can be read in the table. However when I want to integrate the divice with the ip adres it can’t be found.

What instructions?

Hi Willem, welcome to the forum!

Are you using this integration? DSMR Smart Meter - Home Assistant

In the first attempts I followed the instructions from Chargee-Sparky (supplier of the P1-dongle) using the DSMR Smart Meter. Each time I got stuck. This instruction seems to be outdated. By searching the internet for a solution I found the possibility to integrate via HACS. That works well and now I can see the electric power that I get and put back in the grid.

Good it got solved!

Please take the time to mark the post that holds the solution.
