Integration of the K3 Miboxer Rotary Remote with WLED

Hey there,

A quick introduction: I have LED strips throughout my apartment, all controlled via ESP8266 running WLED. I even built my own controllers using ESP8266 with ADC. However, they have a drawback—they need to be constantly powered and require a power adapter. Even using deep sleep, I can’t make them energy-efficient enough to run on batteries. Plus, the setup isn’t exactly aesthetically pleasing.

I recently came across the K3 Miboxer, and I really liked it. The dial takes up very little space and is highly energy-efficient. I also purchased the WL-BOX2 bridge, hoping to find an API or sniff packets with Wireshark to integrate it with my setup. Unfortunately, I haven’t found anything useful so far.

Do you have any ideas on how I could integrate Miboxer remotes with WLED?

Not clear what you are looking for but I use LimitlessLED - Home Assistant

Easy to build … GitHub - sidoh/esp8266_milight_hub: Replacement for a Milight/LimitlessLED hub hosted on an ESP8266

It seems that both projects can be used to manage lights with miboxer driver. But I have WLED :frowning:
But I will try second one. Maybe it will work with remote.
