2.1.0 is out now. I upgraded today and see no ill effects. I see my solar and BESS in there and all my data looks good if anyone is wondering.
The latest release of SPAN API (r202633) introduces some breaking changes, please review the latest documentation on GitHub for more details and what you need to update.
This release will roll out in September 2026, with some panels updating on August 31st.
SPAN API was released as a beta and we asked for feedback.
We heard from the community and we have made changes in response to some of that input.
We have been working closely with @yodiyossarian to enable the SPAN integration to support these changes, and users of that integration should update to the latest release (v2.1.0) as soon as possible.
These updates also get us a few steps closer to ready to release SPAN API for all panels, which we still plan to publish before the end of 2026.
I don’t completely grok that yet, but sure seems cool!

In short - Native tool for any ASSIST driven agent (HA’s default) to be able to sanely read what a panel says and control it without the user having to know diddly squat about their panel because AI doesnt magically know how to run a SPAN panel safely unless you tell it. - if they can get the integration running and then overlay with my toolset. Both fairly easy. Hows that?
(Also - provides an MCP tool for HA outbound Just like that homey thing above.)

Yesterday at some point my Panel (32) updated to spanos3/r202633/04 and everything seems to be working well. I did have to open the Panel door so it would know the current state of the door, but nothing major.
I noticed it shows one of my inverters now too, though it is off on the nameplate of it and I have two inverters, not just the one. While I don’t really “care”, it would be nice if I could get that displaying right in case I have some other integration break, I’d have another option for pulling my data.
