Interlink devices in different Countries - Tuya / Smartlife - Home Assistant

Interlink devices in different Countries/networks/apps.

Hi everyone, I’m a newbie here and I was wondering if someone would be able to help me…Im almost there but some parts I need help with.

In a nutshell, I would like to turn on a light in England, if a PIR sensor detects movement in Brazil.

In my parent’s house in Brazil I use zigbee devices and control via Tuya app. Here in the UK I use zigbee with Smartlife app. Im using two differnt apps just to separate them, but I know they are the same thing running at the background.

I’ve now installed Home assistant in my Synology NAS and everything seems to be running smooth.

Ive also created a tuya account, on the developer platform and created two cloud projects: one for my house in England and another for my parents house in Brazil. They are both running with Central Europe data center - as I could not select a data center in America.

Ive tried to link both profiles (tuya/smartlife) into Home assistant system, but it seems the system does not accept. I was hoping I could separate each device by “creating areas” but Home assistant either runns with one project or another. The main dashboard all devices appears as “entity not found”.

I seached and it seems I could use something called Moskito or MQQT, but Im a bit lost.

Does anyone know, from where Im now, how to make devices from different projects interact to each other? As I said in the begining: If I detect movement on a PIR sensor in Brazil , a switch will turn on a light in my home, near my desk. That is the idea.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Regards,
Guilherme

Use 1 Tuya profile…

Would that work if I now try to Create a Home in Tuya and login with the details of my parents house in Brazil? Will the system sync the details of the house in Brazil?

Thanks.

I have 1 Tuya account and devices in there from homes 400 miles apart. It don’t care.

The issue is that all devices are available from the account, so your Braxzil people can also turn off your England stuff.

Another way is there are multiple Tuya integrations available from GitHub thru the HACS CI. You could import a set from another integration. This would keep them seperate.

but do you keep devices from different homes on the same profile? My house in the UK has 12 devices but in Brazil is nearly 30 devices…I dont want all devices together to avoid confusion.

I do, but all my stuff is secondary devices and only a few, like a dozen total. Also I’m the only one looking at that profile.
Your case you already have 2 profiles, so look at local Tuya or Tuya local or one of the others for one profile and then HA Core Tuya for the other.

I think since Im in the UK now, I cannot migrate all devices from Smartlife app into Tuya. I will have to repair every single device into Tuya app, so I would have to be in Brazil…I need another solution

Smartlife app is tuya. There’s no migrating…

so I go to “Join a home” in my tuya app, and add the invitation code that I can create from the smartlife app? Will that make the trick?

yup

Thank you for your attention, Sir! . One more, if you dont mind. Can you explain me better what is the process via what you wrote: GitHub thru the HACS CI.

If that very complicated and require some in depth expertise?

Thanks

it seems the invitation code generated from SmartLife or Tuya are not compatible with each other. :expressionless:
