Hi,

Somehow, Home Assistant fires errors for using TO in the wait_for_trigger… Anyone knows what’s happening ?

alias: "[Voice] - Washing Machine Lifecycle"
  mode: restart
  trigger:
  - platform: numeric_state
    entity_id: sensor.power_18
    above: 500
    for: "00:01:00"
  action:
  - wait_for_trigger:
    - platform: numeric_state
      entity_id: sensor.power_18
      to: 0
      for: "00:00:05"
  - service: tts.google_translate_say
    data:
      language: nl
      entity_id: group.broadcast
message: "De wasmachine is klaar. Je mag de was eruit halen"
  - service: persistent_notification.create
    data:
      title: "{{ now().timestamp() | timestamp_local() }}"
      message: "Washing is done."
  - service: notify.mobile_app_sm_g998b
    data:
      title: "{{ now().timestamp() | timestamp_local() }}"
      message: "Washing is done."

A Numeric State Trigger supports above and below, not to.

A State Trigger supports to. Perhaps that’s what you meant to use.

Be advised that a State Trigger with to: 0 and for: '00:0:05' means it will trigger only if the value is exactly zero for at least 5 seconds (meaning it cannot fluctuate even a tiny amount).

Hi Taras,

Thanks a lot ! Do you perhaps have an alternative ? I’m squeezing my brains for this one :-/

Thanks a lot in advance

Bart

Have you considered doing this?

  - wait_for_trigger:
    - platform: numeric_state
      entity_id: sensor.power_18
      below: 1
      for: "00:00:05"
