When changing the local network URL in https://192.168.178:8123 I get the following message:
Invalid local network URL
You have configured an HTTPS certificate in Home Assistant. This means that your internal URL must be set to a domain covered by the certificate.
I don’t want to use a reverse proxy like Duckdns because I want to make sure that I can still reach my Home Assistant in my local WLAN if the internet goes down, but I am still connected to my router.
Does anyone have any ideas?

DuckDNS is not a reverse proxy, it is a dynamic DNS service.
You can’t use SSL certificates for ip addresses, only domain names.
I think the best idea would be for you to pay for Nabu Casa for remote access.

You seem to have missed out part of the address - was this in copying it into your post? Most likely you meant 192.168.1.178 or 192.168.1.78

But to access NABU Casa url you also need Internet…
Yes, you are right. Correct Adresse is: 192.168 178.100:8123.
I think i solved it with the Hostname:
https://homeassistant:8123
This one was working without the error…

Only for remote access. You can still use mdns or the ip address locally using http.

If it’s working for the past 9 months, don’t worry about it…
