Inverter Power Flow Card

Just pushed a fix to address the animation bug when there is no aux power

I’m struggling with the config.
I have solar panels (configured correct), an EV (looks correct) and a house with airco (as a separate entry).
But somehow the layout isn’t OK, I have some missing data in the picture.

How can I fill the 2 boxes that are on 0W now ?
The left one should give the total amount of power that the house & EV is using, where do I put it ?
and the right one should give the grit info ( Voltage, Current, Freq).

is there anything else I can achieve with my setup ?
I have a probe for every fuse in the house.

@erwin.fiten do you have a smart meter? That is needed for the second box which leads to the grid.
The first box should be filled with data from you inverter sensors.

Yes, I have a smart meter, and where do I need to fill in these ?
And the inverter data is already on the solar part ?

Hi @slipx06

I have been enjoying the sunsynk-power-flow-card very much. Checking it out many times a day.

But I wanted to ask about the UI performance of the card. I have noticed that my HA UI got laggy. when I switch to the tab that has this card my computer CPU gets high and the fan gets loud.

It also affects the performance of other cards. like when I open the More-Info dialog it sometimes just closes, If I adjust the thermostat on the dialog it sometimes does not register the taps. or the UI is jumping up when scrolled down. very disturbing on the mobile companion app.

When I removed the card from the dashboard it seems that the performance improved. I am not HTML expert.
Maybe I have misconfigured the card (or I can adjust the card config to improve the performance)?
or maybe it is interfering with some other card (have some mini-graph-card, multiple-entity-row)?
also some standard energy dashboard cards like energy-distribution (which also has the animated dots)?

I tried to remove it and the CPU stopped getting high.
Any advice?

Hi. Couple of things you can try. Place the card on its own dashboard then start with a simple card config and gradually add more sensors until you notice the issue. Also how often are you reading data from the inverter?

Hi,

I left the default Solis Modbus integration settings:

Home assistant CPU is running at low percentages (it is deployed on a laptop with Core-i7 and SSD; Modbus connection is over LAN).

I am now trying to set the dashboard up a bit differently.

  • moved from sections Layout to Masonry.
  • reconfigured the graph chart to show less data points
  • removed the Sankey energy card
I have also noticed that the UI is much more laggy during the sunny day when data is changing a lot. today is not so sunny. probably will have to wait for sunnier day to see the effect.

I really love this Power Flow Card, and I find the flexibility magnificent. I had one small issue, which I resolved by using the Show Code Editor

I wanted to replace “inverter_power_175”. I created a SUM sensor (via a Helper) whos composition is all Watts sensors. So my Sum sensor is also Watts. However, I could find the sensor in the list of displayed sensors when changing the value of inverter_power_175 via the gui. But I was happily able to change it via the Code Editor

Hi @slipx06 After updating to 2025.4.1 your card disappeared. Tried re-install, delete and install, it’s not appearing in cards. I even tried a new dashboard

Hi. Have responded to the issue you logged on GitHub. I cant reproduce this so will need more logs

v6.7.0
:rocket: Exciting New Features

  • feat: added new inverter models for EASun, Ferroamp, Sigenergy and Linky closes #657, #579
  • feat: six essential loads can now be displayed on the card without the need for wide screen display mode if certain conditions are met i.e. mppt <=3 on lite card and !show_aux on full card etc closes #635

Hi @slipx06

For me does not work. If i add more then 2 loads, then are all gone from the card… Maybe i do something wrong.

Any update for second invertor? Will be an great feature

Thanks

Hi. It does not support displaying 3 essential loads on the full card. You can display 1, 2, 4, 5 or 6

So easy :joy::joy: thanks

The bottom ones looks strange and without extra information.

Yes there are space constraints

Good to know.
Maybe we can use the grid loads. We have some space down here for extra stuff.

Hello, in the beginning I would like to appriciate your hard work, thank you! I would like to ask if there is any possibility to correct icons leveling in right part of the flow card as they are overlaping. As you see in the picture L1,L2,L3 power area is overlaping one of the essential load entities, maybe the whole row of this icons can be moved a little bit lower?

Thanks. I’ve fixed this in 6.7.3 Release v6.7.3 · slipx06/sunsynk-power-flow-card · GitHub

thank you very much for this outstanding visualization.

There seem to be some minor bugs:

  • when Load ist configured to auto scale, this does not effect the sub loads like headpump, wallbox etc. They still show 8.000W instead of 8kW
  • I use helper type-in entities to feed in prices for energy buy and sell into HA. This german prices are based on 0,00EUR (comma, no dot). The fields in the visualization for grid cost and grid buy are not filled. I guess the reason is the comma.
