Hi,
Every time I rotate my iPhone from portrait to landscape, or back again, the Home Assistant Companion app fully reloads.
The Home Assistant loading logo appears and the frontend starts over.
The exact same dashboard works perfectly in Safari on the same iPhone, so this only happens in the Companion app.
Has anyone else seen this, or found a workaround?
No, it does not
I experienced this yesterday a couple of times. I assume the latest app update included changes to the refresh during orientation changes to the device and for Wi-Fi hops of the device. That is purely speculative on my part. I have a Wi-Fi mesh setup, which is why I think that may be the case or at least has something to do with it.
A purge of the app cache tended to fix it. I was also experiencing internet provider issues last night and reset my network a few times to work out some stuff. But that’s my edge case…
Same here, clearing app cache doesn’t fix anything for me and its really annoying when viewing a video feed in landscape and having it reload each time I change orientations
