In the IOS HA app i was looking at a integration page. The arrow back to the app is not working. Also clossing the app (swipp in IOS) does not help. The app starts in the same window. I have updated the app to version 2026.1.1 and still the same problem. Annyone the same problem? Maybe a solution?
Last time I had something similar I got out of it by force closing the app, putting the device in flight mode and restart the companion app. Then go to the server settings page, take the device out of flight mode and reconnect. Because it can’t connect in flight mode you won’t be redirected to the old page.
Thanks for this option. But it is not working for me.
But you got me thinking. I deleted the app intirely and installed it again. It has keept the config and is working agiain.
I am on the raod again. But there is a bug in the app. Is it enough i mention it here?
It is not so much a bug per se as a problem with IOS. IOS requires apps that are killed in the background to open at the page where they were. This can be a problem for pages that rely on ‘back’ to return to where they came from, because after a restart of the app, there is no page history.
You could also blame IOS for not providing a way to clear the cache on apps. The problem does not exist on android.
For yourself it is good to remember not to leave the app open on a page like this and switch apps. Because IOS will kill the app in the bckground if it feels like it and then you are in this mess.
Fix is not working for me. I am running 2 instances of HA in 2 locations and one is running fine while the other one that I updated to 2026.1.1 is unreachable through the app but working fine in a web browser. Have the same issue on my Apple Watch.
