IP Address Issue

Hi, I am new to Home Assistant and networking. For some reason my Home Assistant kept pulling an IP address different than what my network had so it wouldn’t recognize any devices on the network. I tried changing the IP address of my home assistant to be on the same network as all my devices but now I can’t access Home Assistant at all. I am using a laptop running Hyper V. Can anyone give me any direction on how I can access Home Assistant? The homeassistant.local.8123 doesn’t work either. I have tried the new IP address as well and nothing.

Assign ip addresses at router if you can . (IP reservation) This provides a central point of management for ip addresses in a logical place

What is your network and what does Ha show?

How did you install HA?

From the laptop directly using web browser but results will vary depending on your install type.

Please show both ips. They are internal ips so no need to obfuscate.

As you are using Hyper V.

Your home assistant probably got a network configuration problem on your hyper v.
Perhaps its got to do with NAT/Bridging. Please show us the Hypver V network config
