iPhone 5 not able to connect to HA App

Hi!

I saw multiple post regarding old iOS devices (in my case a iPhone 5) not being able to connect to HA app with the login error.
It can find the HA server IP but when press, we got the uh oh error.

Note that I have also a iPhone 14 (iOS 26.1) running fine on the same server

Solution that I found on the community was the docker solution but since I’m running it via HAOS, couldn’t find any alternative…

I also checked under /config if there was a IP Ban yaml in case but no file listed, so I’m guessing that a ip ban file doesn’t exist yet in my setup so that shouldn’t be the issue

Any ideas?
Any alternatives that I should try?

There is your problem. From official documentation of companion app you can read:

  • The iOS App requires iOS 15 or greater, this means the oldest device supported is the iPhone 6s.
