So my ISP has just enabled native IPv6 so for shits & giggles, I disabled IPv4 on my PC network card and of course Home Assistant isn’t working/won/t connect. I can connect to google.com though. My Duckdns address is correctly updating the IPv6 address so I’m wondering what I need to change so Home Assistant is served over IPv6?
what do you have in your ‘my-network’ file under:
[ipv6]
addr-gen-mode=stable-privacy
method=auto
I would start there by assigning a fixed IP if you haven’t already
I don’t. Generic Linux install on debian
oh, so when you said you can connect to google, that was from the device running HA?
yes. I disabled IPv4 on the network ethernet adapter and then went to google.com and it connects. Other sites like Whirlpool won’t connect so I know it’s connecting via IPv6. My NUC has a correct IPv6 address…
