Hallo People,
I have the big problem, that my Matter server wont get an IPV6 connect.
I Use a Beckhoff IPC with HA OS on it.
My router is a Asus router IPV6 is aktivated.
Please help me I get really f… up with this.
what does your ha cli says ?, net inf
yeah
type
ha net inf
why are you using “Static IPv6” ? , have you tried with auto ?
Maybe your Router and HA (which uses auto for ipv4) , will cope better with auto
I tried with auto first but it came out the same sh…t
No, it’s your IPTV “config” which uses/needs dual-port settings
yes that’s your IPv6 settings site
… thou i’m not into the “game” of going through your Router Settings , As your Wan-settings etc and your ISP , is a better source for this task ( To get it right )
Maybe is is as simple as choosing the native
Or Maybe you should choose what your Router-Manual tells you , in regards to your ISP Settings …
Meaning do you have a Static, PPOE or Automatic Wan-Type ?
Then Choose the Corresponding IPv6 Type
Click the FAQ in that “picture”, and you get it right … maybe
ASUS usually don’t play around, but are straight forward in their Manuals ![]()
Also, if that wont get you further, then please inform which Matter-Server you are playing with, and whether you have installed a Matter integration
NOTE: I suggest you revert to Auto, and check if it’s really the same Errors, Warnings and INFO , as it seems like it “suddenly” want to use your WIFI interface( for some weird reason ) (which i suggest you totally disable) , also you dont show ipv6 for that
In fact you dont even have to enable IPv6 in Your Router, for installing the Matter-server or the Matter Integration
I Use the App Matter Server with version 8.3.0.
I only want/need to use it local.
The normal config of IPV6 in my Asus Router was deaktivate.
My Matter Config is the standard config, i didn´t change anithyng.
My IPC has no Wifi. Only two Lan ports and one for Service.
Thank a lot for heping me thats not a given for me.
then try deactivate IPv6 in your Router, and reboot it
Enable IPv6 in HA > Auto , restart HA (or reboot it)
Then Go to Settings/Integration !, Install the Matter Integration(not Matter Device), And Choose to use the Official Matter Server
If you get other or same Errors, post it here
Do you run HAOS in VM ? , if not disable the unused LanPorts(or do it anyways)
Okay, is started the App with the Matterintegration, but have the same problem…I only want to connekt a Ikea motion sensor =(
Notice it uses the enp2s0 network interface as primary for “link-local” ( for some reason ) im not sure what it means. It should use the same , as it initially found “eno1”
Have you “done” some “smart-settings” somewhere ?
as you previous showed enp2s0 has no address, and answer my request of your install-type, VM ?, in that case it should be easy to simply remove this interface
However it says you Matter-server is up and running
So whats the “issue” ?, have you looked in /Settings/System/Logs ? … 3 dots to the right, RAW-Log-file
Also, in top-right corner, choose Matter, and copy that from where it starts(blue-color)
When you paste code in here, make sure you do it correct
Note: Just out of curiosity, How Do you try to Connect you motion-sensor ?
btw, which ikea motion-sensor ?
Okey, I tried now something complete different, I Installed the Matter Server on a Raspberry pi to try it and there is the same issue.
I think the problem with the IPV6 come from my starlink router.
My setup looks like this:
Starlink in bypass mode
|
Asus Router
|
Raspberry
I think I give it up now.
