Hi, is it possible to cast music from phone app (Spotify, YouTube music etc) to the Home Assistant Voice PE and control from music app on phone?
Looking to eventually replace all Google minis but need the ability for myself or guests to cast music.

Thanks that’s perfect I integrated that a couple of days ago but hadn’t had a chance to read up on it completely and wasn’t aware you could cast from a phone to voice PE through it.
Hi, I couldn’t see a way to make the voice pe discoverable as a cast device from the YouTube music app, do you know if it’s only Spotify Connect that’s available?

You can also setup map targets as Spotify speakers so they can be direct targeted by. Spotify.
It becomes the library and pulls from all the providers
It may not be the same exact 1:1 button press sequence you’re used to… you need to see how it exposes the speakers and sources in your install. I dont yt music ina regular basis I’m Spotify
I have YouTube Music set as a music provider successfully and it has pulled my info in just fine. I’ve also set up the Voice PE as a player provider but I don’t believe there is the functionality to have YouTube music app on my phone and cast in the same way I could if I was a Spotify customer and used the Spotify Connect under ‘add plugin provider’. It’s early days though so hopefully a YouTube cast plugin will be provided as well soon.
