I am currently running a export limited PV solar system where the Solax Inverter talks directly to the Eastron meter to get the usage/export data.
My HA unit interrogates the inverter by Modbus over IP. The issue is that the inverter goes to sleep once the sun goes down and I don’t get power usage at night.
Is it possible to for my HA unit to also have a physical Modbus connection to the meter which it switches over to once the inverter has gone to sleep?
What would the code look like in Automations.yaml / configuration.yaml?
