Is it safe to uninstall unused Z-wave JS Integration?

Hello all. Somewhere during my initial setup, when I had no idea what I was doing, I somehow installed Zwave JS and Zwave JS UI. However, Zwave JS has never been started or used as shown in the below screen shot. Is is safe to remove the unused application without breaking anything in the Zwave JS UI setup? Or should i just leave it as is, turned off?

It seems like leaving both will cause a problem one day, but removing one may cause a problem today :grinning: I have so many Z Wave devices and entities now that it would take days to reconfigure everything. Thank you.

I removed Zwave JS a few days ago and had no adverse consequences.

Thank you for the reply. Do you also have Zwave JS Ui up and running with connected devices?

Just an FYI, ZWaveJS now supports the UI, and since ZWaveJS is an official App, and ZWaveJS-UI is a community App, it may be the case that ZWaveJS-UI won’t be getting updates anymore.

Yes I have 64 devices on Zwave JS UI

There’s a migration guide here:

I followed it some weeks ago to remove ZWaveJS-UI and use just ZWave JS for everything, and everything is still working :slightly_smiling_face:

I followed the same guide to move back to the official ZWave JS app and have removed my ZWave JS UI installs everywhere now that the official app is basically the same thing!

removing should not be an problem.

Step 1 and always great practice, create automated (at least) daily backups and create a new Backup the moment before you make any big changes (just in case/insurance).

I just did backed up HA, performed a few updates and uninstalled ZWJS and all went well. I know I will eventually migrate back to ZWJS core, but I don’t have the time right now should something go wrong. I will bookmark the link provided above for that project.

Thanks all!
