I now have mad respect to the network engineers. After spending weeks on this topic, I still don’t fully grasp network security. Any help is appreciated.
I want to integrate my SIP doorbell to homeassistant AND be able to access HA externally without opening ports. Accessing the doorbell externally would be nice, but not crucial.
It seems with reverse proxy, I can enable secure external access and non-secure internal access. But in that case, how will SIP functions work? Won’t I need secure access internally as well?
