Is Telegram generating too much traffic?

Has anyone else noticed that? I have telegram setup on my system (raspbian lite and HA in a virtual environment) and I am running Pi-hole too.

It seems like Telegram is quering most of the traffic generated on my WHOLE network!
Of course it doesnt affect the network not I have noticed any slowdowns. Everything runs smoothly. I am just wondering if this is normal and if is not, what should I do?

When telegram is setup in polling mode, it will query for new messages every 5 seconds or so. Using websocket mode will eliminate this. Many other sensors will show similar activity if they are cloud based and polling.
