Hello! I’m a new HA user. My power company user OPower, so I have an integration set up to poll their data. I’d really like to see how my usage and costs compare to the same day (and even time) the previous year (or years if possible). Is there a way to do that? Thanks!
I don’t know the answer to your question.
However one point of clarification, you might need to define what “Same Day” means, since every year the same date (March 23rd, for example) will be a different day of the week to what it was last year, hence is is quite likely that your weekday usage will be different to your weekend usage.
There will be other factors such as national holidays and weather conditions.
Look into something like influxdb to store your data. Long term storage in the actual HA Database can grow it substantially and cause performance problems with the actual equipment control functions of the house.
