Is there any Alternative firmware's for the Ulanzi TC001 that doesn't require a server running?

I mainly want to use my clock for time weather and YouTube sub counter. The original Ulanzi firmware Does the YouTube counter great. But it doesn’t do the weather. I’m in the U.S. and the clock only does weather if you are in china. Also the original firmware doesn’t do a 12 hour clock.

I saw one project earlier but the features aren’t baked into the firmware. You have to make your own icons and deal with a bunch of different apis. If anyone knows a firmware that can do all that then please let me know. Thank you!

Well, you’re asking this on a HomeAssistant forum - so my recommendation would be to flash awtrix and use HA to send to it whatever you want. But yes, that involves some API (MQTT, actually).

I understand. Its just hard to find a place where people talk about the TC001.

You can be pretty sure that most of the users here will have flashed it, so they can connect it to HA.
The ones that have not flashed it have thought to do it, but have just not found the time yet.
I am pretty sure no one here will have thought in other ways to use the clock.
