It has happened more than once, that updating Docker to some versions (remember 20.10.0 or 20.10.4?) messed up whole HA Supervised system because of certain incompatibilities.
I really don’t want to reinstall the whole system again (had to do it twice already), so, has anybody running HA Supervised on Raspberry 4 tried updating to Docker 20.10.8 yet, is it safe to do?
As long as you read (and fix) the breaking changes before updating, everything should be fine.
I updated to docker 20.10.8 a few days ago (as well as other updates) and my HA Supervised completely shit the bed. All my HA containers, images etc were all deleted and I had to run the install script again. All my data etc was still there so no real harm. I have also had to run that script multiple times with supervisor updates over the last few months… no idea why it was getting upset but the supervisor container/image were disappearing… so I had left the beta channel as it was everytime there was a supervisor update and then it was stable. Anyway, all is well now…
Strange. Updated yesterday to Docker-Version 20.10.8 and all stayed good. The only thing I had to do was a host reboot.
PS. Not using any beta software though.
