ISP Info tracking?

Hello!
Is there any way to track what my current ISP is ? Im using dual-wan config and would like to get notified
when my primary network is down and the secondary is used.
(tracking my ISP)

I’d love a sensor for this, can it be done?

You can find multiple examples on the forum on how to use it for automation and templates.

I’ve looked at that, but it will notfiy me when ever my IP changes no? I don’t want every change detected, only when ISP is changed because that means the home is on 4g and not fibre

On itself it will do nothing besides provide the information.
Its up to you to either make an automation or template to deal with that info.

Yea, that gives me my public IP, question is if I can use it the way I want. I’ll see with my ISP if my IP is static or how often its renewed.

Most likely when u switch over you get a very different IP, my ISP is 213.x.x.x and the backup is 82.x.x.x
Maybe work from that.

Yea that will happen, the problem lies in if my fibre ISP changes my public IP, then I would get false triggers.
Thats why I wanted to track the ISP name, they will always differ when the WAN’s change.

It is unlikely to change the first or even second octet. Just match on those and ignore the rest.
