The height of the horizontal/vertical stack card can no longer be adjusted (grayed out) after update Core 2026.1, and on my dashboard, it takes up about 2.5 rows (not 2 or 3).
The image below shows an example of a (only) sensor card compared to inside a horizontal stack card.
I am also seeing the same results. I’ll add editing via YAML alters the layout preview, but does not actually alter the displayed card’s height.
I’d suggest posting the issue here if it is not already there. (which looks like you already did)
