Issues including Multi Sensor 7 into Home Assistant OS

I installed Home Assistant OS on a NUC. I am using a Z-Stick 10. I am able to pair my old Aeotec Multi-sensor 6’s fine. But the new ones are just refusing to complete the inclusion process.

Node 6 added with security None
Expected message was not received within the corresponding timeout

I am not worried about the security, But the process never finishes. I excluded the MS and reincluded - same result.

I have been waking it up every few seconds the first time. The second time, I pressed the button for over 10seconds, so its awake permanently.
What’s the trick

Note the Sensor is on USB power and is 1m away from the ZStick.

Go through the steps in https://zwave-js.github.io/zwave-js/#/troubleshooting/first-steps to make sure your network is at the baseline at least.

What is the background RSSI reported by Z-Wave JS (in driver logs or controller’s “signal noise” sensors in HA)?

Those steps did not reveal anything I had not done. Sorry, I was unable to find any logs for RSSI or signal noise. As a newbie, there is a lot to take in.

MS7’s are supposed to be better. If MS6 work from 1m away, so should MS7.

Anyway, I finally tried by selecting No security instead of Default. And it worked. I tried another one, it was the same, I had to use No security, otherwise it seems to time out.
