Issues with setting temperature on TRV

Hello,
I could not find a solution on my problem here, that is why, I am opening a new topic.
When doing the automatisation for several Z-wave TRV’s I have a problem that the command climate.set_temperature is not working, does not have any effect on the set up temperature on the TRV. While the state can be easily changed. I have tried Perform action in Developer tools, but does not help. I can only change it in State, while manually correcting the value inside.

The code is the following:

I have inserted the delay, in order to leave so gap in between the mode change and temperature set, but does not help either.

Any idea how to overcome this?
Thanks a lot for any hint. Br, A

Are these TRVs battery powered? If so, you have to wake up the device (press some button combination explained in your user manual, or wait some configurable time) in order for the commands to be received.

Yes, they are battery powered. But I am confused, as the state can be easily changed, it is working perfectly.
Also, automatisation in Smarthings is working without problems, also temperature setpoint. Anyway, will try to wake up manually, to check, if this is the reason.

What does that mean exactly? If you change the state in the Dev tools, that only modifies HA’s internal entity state, it has nothing to do with how the device is programmed.

I guess you’ll need to provide more information about your devices then, like the make and model. It’s difficult to provide anything other than generic help without that sort of information.

Does the set_temperature action work if the hvac mode is already set to heat?

Hi,
it is an Z-Wave Eurotronic Spirit Smart Radiator Thermostat.

With the state, I mean, that from HA I can change it to heat and off, the automatisation works perfect. Activating it beforehand (waking up) does not have any effect.
set_temperature does NOT work even when HVAC mode is set to heat.

update: setting temperature also does not work any more from ST. Seems, that it is stuck at the default temperature.
More that I look into, seems to be a problem with device handler in ST…

That looks like a FLIRS device (listening sleeping) so there is no wake up, commands should be handled in either 250ms or 1sec. But the manual also claims it has a wake up capability (press boost button), so that’s quite confusing.

I was assuming you were using HA’s Z-Wave integration (Z-Wave JS), but are you using the Smart Things integration instead?

Yes, correct, ST integration.
