iStrip and duoCo Stripx Integration?

I picked up a few of these cheap Chinese Bluetooth RGB wave lights on Amazon. DOLIIUY Northern Light Lamp, Wave Ocean Water Projector Lights, 16 Colors Gradual Rotating Flame Water Lamp, with APP & Remote Control & Charge, for Bedroom/Party/Game Rooms/Office/Bar (Square) - Amazon.com

On iOS, it doesn’t connect through native bluetooth and HomeKit, but through a dedicated third party app called iStrip.

I also picked up these lamps, each made of an LED strip, that connects via Bluetooth but uses another app called “duoCo Stripx.”

I get the feeling that these use generic controllers, that would work as long as someone knows how to harness them. Does anyone know if there is an integration compatible with these lights?

They came with IR remotes, and I picked up some IR blasters recently that integrate through Tuya. I’m wondering if that could be a way to control them, though there wouldn’t be as much customization as the native apps.

Any luck with this?

i do have similar lights that use the duoco stripx app. i would also be interested to get my hand on an integration like this.

Well, i did a quick search and found how to do that. its pretty simple since there’s already one integration that supports these lights. Only thing you’ll need is the bluetooth integration; i have 2 ESP32 bluetooth proxy (but not required) or bluetooth support on your instance.

Then i went to HACS and installed this repo : GitHub - dave-code-ruiz/elkbledom: Home Assistant custom component for LED STRIP NAME ELK BLEDOM

My light was automatically discovered.

Give it a try !

I’m currently developing a Home Assistant integration for iStrip+. It’s still a work in progress, but I’ve made solid progress so far.
