I have one liftmaster. From a bit of reading I see that the manufacturer blocked access but ratgdo may work with it since it was installed about 2020 - I read current models don’t work with ratgdo. I would like to be able to open the door a few inches for ventilation (have an exhaust fan). Have another door 12’ high I would like to automate but no opener on it yet. What are my choices? The doors are on an out building and don’t get opened much so have considered a small geared motor with a removable link for vent opening.
I’ve got a fairly recent Liftmaster, an older (3400?) liftmaster and a Craftsman door opener. I put the Konnect Blaq on each of them. I got the pushbutton for the recent liftmaster and used regular doorbell switches on the other two. Works nicely, but you only get certain positions other than full open/close. can you explain “you only get certain positions” a bit more? Do you get to choose them or are they preset? I was under the impression you could set several positions where ever you wanted.
I haven’t tried to add positions. Just going by what the cover shows, which is every 25%. The Blaq is using ESPHome, so it may be possible to do other things with that method.
