Hello everyone,
My mother has a some Jarolift Jaromat Ecos ( jarolift JAROMAT Eco AP 15/5 Electric Roller Shutter Belt Winder Surface-Mounted for Belt Width 15 mm, Maximum Tensile Force 18 kg, up to 6 m² Roller Shutter Area, with Timer and Power Supply and : Amazon.de: DIY & Tools ) in her house to pull the belts of her shutters. Now the time has come when she is getting much older and can’t reach the buttons on the jaromat devices very good. I saw there were radio extension sets for those devices ( jarolift Wireless set for JAROMAT Eco belt winder, belt winder accessories, remote control and radio receiver for wireless control : Amazon.de: DIY & Tools ) but they are sold out and the vendor says they are not produced anymore. I want to make the Jaromat devices smart without buing new belt puller devices or something. I can see, that the radio modules have a 4 ping connection to the jaromat. I would guess that 2 pins are for power and 2 pins for up/down. Does anyone have experience in hacking those devices, making them smart? I found some projects on the internet that make them smart, but each project relies on those radio extensions. Would this be possible with an esp? like with esphome or tasmota? Or does anyone have some radio extensions laying around? I’d need 4 of them to get this to work without hacking the devices.

I hope anyone can help me with that.

If you find confirmation for those pins, it wouldn’t be too difficult to control it with Esp.
But is that radio module doing direct motor control? Or is it logic level output to the actual controller?

Well that is the exact question. I don’t have this radio module at hand and it seems quite difficult to get.

I have found a half solution. The radio sets for „Superrollo Funk-Set ZB60“ are 100% compatible with the jaromat jarolift line. This helps a lot.
