Jewish Calendar Issur Melacha Boolean off by an hour

Hello,
I am using the Jewish Calendar sensor to automate my home, specifically using the Issue Melacha in Effect Boolean. Unfortunately, it seems to be off by a whole hour since daylight savings time. Is there a way to fix this that I may be doing wrong? It was working fine until daylight savings started.

Shalom my friend,

Sorry I can not help with the time difference (did you try to reconfigure tzdata on your pi/nuc). Where I live in Arizona we do not change times. But, and there always is a but if I go on to the chabad web site and find todays 3/15 candle time it says that Shabbat starts at 6:17 pm. The hebcal website says 6:18 pm

But my home assistant with the same sensor says the following
Sabbath Candle Lighting 23 hours ago 2019-03-15 18:15:00-07:00

My havdalah time sensor time is 2019-03-16 19:24:00-07:00 but hebcal says 7:27 pm and chabad says 7:12pm

So which one is correct?

Hi carltonb,
all three of your times seem to be with a few minutes of each other of I’m not mistaken so I wouldn’t be too concerned. I think different algorithms end up with different times for sunset which is what the Jewish calendar sensor uses for candle lighting and havdallah.
For now, I’m reverting back to an old way that I did this using the custom sensor from the community.
