Trying to add HS200, and prompts for userID/pwd. I input the account created for Kasa app, and it says the “device response did not match our challenge”. Are these devices no longer supported in HA? Firmware is 5.26. Thanks.

I did have a similar problem and I was unaware of the previous mentioned topic at the time.
I installed the TP-Link Smart Home integration and the Tapo App (on my phone). In the Tapo App, in settings under “Services”, there is a “Link Tapo with Kasa” option. This fixed my credentials issue.
It kinda did. I searched on several terms and did not see this thread, so thanks very much! The issue is that HA seems insistent on capitalizing first letter of email address. This is probably not a good idea on userID/pwd fields, but it is what it is. ANYWAY, the only way to fix it is to double enter first letter, type in email, then move cursor back and delete first letter. Bingo. THanks very much for the link, I would have never thought of that. I think of email addresses as such, and being Windows centric IT do not relate to case sensitive userIDs. Oh well, live and learn
