Kasa KL125

Hello, I just got a couple of KL125 smart bulbs. I have them hooked up to my internal network, set static IPs on them and put those IPs in my config.yaml file along side my switch IPs. the switches are working but the 2 KL125s are not. I know those seem to be a newer model and maybe that is the issue. But they are not showing up in Home assistant at all. I can control them via the Kasa app but not Home assistant directly to the IP.
Is this maybe coming back TPLink blocking local access to the devices like they were with some of the smart switches?
Thanks!

Having the same problem over here! Just got into setting up HA on my network and it looks like these same lights aren’t showing up with the TP Link integration. Maybe we’re going to have to contact TP Link or a member on the community with access to their “special firmware” (I saw a post dated Nov '20 which had some instructions on it) which allows for local access.

I believe the situation is that the old library pyHS100 doesn’t support KL125’s. The new library that is being worked on python-kasa they do seem to work for me on the command line. However it requires a newly written component isn’t available in home assistant yet or even as a custom component. See https://github.com/home-assistant/core/pull/30719 for some context.
