Kasa Light switches, what is the LED entity?

I have several TP-Link Kasa light switches. In addition to the regular switch entity switch.family_room_lights, I also have another entity that is in this format: switch.family_room_lights_led I have turned the entity off and on and can’t figure out what it does. I thought it might disable the switch, but it seems to be working even when its switched off. Anyone have experience with these?

Should be the LED on the device. Their wall switches and smart plugs both have LED entities that can be controlled. I guess if your smart plug LED glow was too bright, you could turn it off. I know on the wall switches, the LED is the Off indicator (so you can see the switch at night).

I have over 150 TP link devices. I just searched all of mine and it looks like only the plugs and switches have that LED entity (because bulbs and lightstrips don’t have an indicator LED). I learned something new.

Sweet! I did notice that it does turn off the white LED on my light switches, with one caveat; It only works on the newer hardware. I have some HS200’s that are hardware version 1.0 that the LED switch doesn’t work.
