Thanks! This worked for me. I had to connect my device to a diferent wi-fi and that’s what it broke it in the first place. This fix was super easy.
This Authentication error can be caused by migrating Kasa devices onto a new wireless network which is managed by the TP-Link DECO app. That app apparently turns off the Third-party Compatibility feature when it finds TP-Link smart devices on the network. Load the Tapo app (Kasa app won’t work) and turn the Third-party Compatibility switch back on. Wait a few minutes and then go back into the Home Assitant TP-Link integration and re-enter the login info for each broken device.
