This project has been completed and the devices have started shipping. I’ve been able to get my KeyWe included to my ZWave network, but HA doesn’t identify it. Any tips on how to configure HA to work with it? Sorry for the newb question.
Have you had any luck with HASS integration? I am very interested in this lock but would be great to have the integration…
Would it be possible to use the wifi hub?
I tried to build a sensor for the lock. item but it always shows unlocked regardless and I can’t set it as a switch either. Not sure what I need to do now.
If they ever release their wifi bridge perhaps I’ll give that a shot.
OK, I received my lock today. Added it to my network and HA was able to recognise it.
This also added a lock.*** entity (the name will probably be different) that can be used to lock/unlock (see screenshot)
It seems to work pretty well although it takes a few seconds to update the status once it changes (I am sure this could be tweaked but I don’t want to have too much going on on my network)
Hi,
Just trying to remember… I mostly followed the (vague) instructions that came with the lock to put it into “pairing” mode. Then you have to put your Z-Wave network into “Add” mode, which involves either clicking on the “Add Node” button in Hass’ Configuration/Z-Wave menu or pressing the physical button on your node.
Then things pretty much happened automatically from there.
One thing to watch out for is ensuring to have secured your Z-Wave network so that you can pair your lock device securely (refer to the Aeotec documentation for that, also see “Network Key”, there: https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/z-wave/adding/)
Hi,
The controlelr I use is an Aeotec Gen 5 Z-Stick.
As for the config, well there isn’t anything specific I had to configure. The entities got created for me straight after pairing.
