Introducing the Kids Sleep Clock Card for Home Assistant!
If you’ve got kids like mine, you’d know that waking up early isn’t a great time… This card was inspired by products such as GroClock or Kids Sleep Clocks but I had an old Echo Show 5 lying around that I turned into a kiosk mode sleep clock!
The clock has two modes, Wake Up Time, and Sleep Time. At Sleep time, the clock turns into a dark night sky, with customisable text and a clock face, with gently star animations.
Once wake up time comes around, the clock moves to Day Mode, where the sun comes out and tells your child they can wake up now.
Sleep / Wake up times are customisable, same with background colours and text fields. There’s an optional media player option that when the selected media player is playing, a "Now Playing " tile shows on the screen.
All animations and images are drawn in CSS so there’s no resources needed.
Very open to feedback on how to improve or add some features, but after one week, I no longer have a child roaming the house in the early hours of the morning!
